Supply Chain Management for OEM
This program provides a comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain Management in the automotive industry, covering the complete ecosystem from raw materials and multi-tier suppliers to OEM manufacturing, distribution, dealerships and aftermarket operations. Participants explore key SCM functions including demand planning, strategic procurement, supplier management, inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, production scheduling, reverse logistics and spare-parts management. The program places strong emphasis on building resilient and responsive automotive supply chains. Participants examine supplier de-risking, vendor audits, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), localization, sustainability and SHE considerations, while learning how organizations can identify vulnerabilities across Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 supplier networks. It also introduces digital SCM applications such as IoT-enabled visibility, automation, digital twins, blockchain and data-driven supply chain management. Learning is reinforced through automotive case studies covering natural-gas supply disruption and Toyota’s hybrid supply bottlenecks, enabling participants to analyse real-world supply risks, localization dependencies, constrained resources and business-continuity responses. The session ultimately equips participants to connect supply chain strategy with operational efficiency, supplier resilience, risk mitigation and customer service.
